If this initiative passes, how will it affect people living in Federal Subsidized Housing? The Federal rules for subsidized and Section 8 housing prohibit illegal drug use in the building/apartment one lives in. It is grounds for immediate eviction. So if the State of Coilorado passes this initiative, yet it remains illegal under Federal law, will/could the Feds bring charges against a tenent in these buildings and evict them from the affordable housing for the elderly, poor and disabled even though it is legal to possess under an once in that State the housing is in?

321, Almost all landlords include a anti-drug clause in their contracts. It really depends how it's worded. Which sadly is where lawyers come in to play. I live in VoA subsidized housing as well. I must say it SUCKS! The people are inept, uncaring and a waist of money. VoA tauts itself as doin' good in "god's" name. Oi! what a joke! While most of the people are liberal a lot of them (like mine) are faith based and as I'm sure you know we don't have a lot of support from the faith based population. Check your lease and addendums to see what it says. If it says "illicit" drugs are banned then you *might* be ok. If it names marijuana specifically then prolly not. BUT DON'T take my word for it. I'm not a lawyer or even a law student. I hope this helps. Mike
