This is a great letter to the editor of the Rocky Mountain News.
What has GOCAM ever done that has been helpful to anyone? This organization lies and has clearly been left in the dark. Just check out the story that I wrote about earlier about GOCAM and their crappy inaccurate story that is on their homepage. We're talking about removing the penalty for adults who use in the privacy of their own home. The marijuana vs kids argument is starting to sound like a broken record. What message does it send to your kids when you say "IF you choose to alter your state of mind, you MUST use a product that kills thousands of people every year." Personally I'd rather my kids use a mild sedative like Marijuana vs a hard core drug such as alcohol.
One toke over the line?
So, Mason Tvert, supporter of Amendment 44, wants to legalize the possession of marijuana up to an ounce for adults 21 and older, but it would still be illegal under federal law, and it would still be a crime to grow, sell or buy pot.
Tvert, dude, are you like, you know, one toke over the line?
If the Guarding Our Children Against Marijuana organization was around when Tvert was growing up (this in the chronological sense), perhaps he would not rationalize his support for dope the way he does.
