All hands on deck!
There will be a full-fledged battle over Amendment 44 at the State Capitol Building tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m., as Governor Bill Owens and Attorney General John Suthers are coming out against Amendment 44 at a press conference and bringing everything they've got. Thus,
[glow=red,2,300]WE NEED YOUR HELP!![/glow]
We are confident that the only people there to oppose the measure will be these elected officials and members of the law enforcement community. That is, they will not have many (if any) citizens there to support them.
Thus, we are putting out this EMERGENCYalert asking you and anyone you know who supports Amendment 44 to come out to the Capitol and join us in a counter-demonstration to show that despite what politicians and police want, it's the people who truly count on Election Day.
WE NEED AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE TO BE THERE!
We will have signs available and T-shirts for as many people as possible. No handmade signs are needed. Please wear your YES on 44 shirt!
*** There is to be ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING of anything (cigarettes included) during this demonstration, as it could be detrimental to this event and thus the campaign -- It's NOT WORTH IT ***

What: The one BIG demonstration for Amendment 44
When: Tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 27 -- arrive @ 9:45 a.m.! -- event should be over by 11 a.m.
Where: State Capitol Building, Denver
UPDATE:
This will be a LEGAL / NON-VIOLENT / PEACEFUL and NON-SMOKING event.
The idea is to have as large a crowd as possible, so as to redirect the press's attention on our demonstration. The more people we have, the more likely they are to discuss the demonstration rather than regurgitate the nonsense our opponents will be spewing.
If you come, you will be:
- holding a sign
- wearing a shirt
- and most importantly, just be there[/b]
Their press conference is at 10 a.m., so please arrive by 9:45 a.m. and plan on having to find parking on the street or in a lot near the capitol building.
We should be done and dispersing before 11 a.m.
